Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said Pakistan has no objection over India’s good relations with Afghanistan.
“Indian media raised hue and cry that I have visited Kabul. They talked in irresponsible way. This has dented their own credibility. Indian media should have made verification before talking in this regard. I did not go to Kabul and instead I attended important meetings in Pakistan”, he said this in a statement issued here Monday.

“I am going to undertake visit of important countries of region. I will visit Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran and hold talks with their leadership in the context of Afghan situation. Afghanistan is multi ethnic country and people in addition to Pushtoons too live therein. In this perspective we want whatever government comes to fore therein it should be inclusive and broad based.

He underlined that anti peace forces “spoilers are active in Afghanistan today as well. India will have to shun its narrow-minded thinking. If it continues to pursue the thinking of letting down Pakistan then it will do no service to the region.

India has remained claimant of good relations with Afghanistan, he said adding we have no objection over India’s good relations with Afghanistan, he remarked.

Our focus is not on any one group, he held. Betterment of Afghanistan is our thinking. International community should keep better relations with Afghanistan. This impression should be given to Afghan people that we have not forgotten them. We will help outgoing people. But they should not create chaos. Because educated people are required for the development of Afghanistan. If all go out then the country of lovers of Afghanistan will be affected.
