ISLAMABAD : Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaisar has called upon UN to play its role in resolution of Kashmir and Palestine problems.
“ peaceful resolution of conflicts is inevitable for durable peace in the world. UN should play its due role to resolve Kashmir and Palestine issues”, he said this while addressing a seminar in connection with international day of peace Monday.
He underlined Islam imparts teachings of peace and peace can be ensured in the world by following Islamic teachings
We will not hesitate to lay down our life for the sake of peace, he added.
He went on to say people of Palestine have been rendering sacrifices since the several last decades.
Condemning the blatant human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), the Speaker said that Indian troops have been given free hand to persecute the innocent and armless Kashmiri people.
He appealed to international community to play its role for establishment of peace in Kashmir. It is must that Kashmir issue be addressed as per UN resolutions for lasting peace in South Asia.
He lamented that people of Kashmir stand deprived of the basic facilities of life since the last one year. Over 22000 Kashmiri women have become widows and thousands of Kashmir youths have been martyred by Indian forces. Hundreds of Kashmiri women have been raped. The international community will have to play its role to grant the right to self-determination to Kashmiris.
Parliament will be made epicenter to highlight Kashmir issue at international level, he remarked.
