The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved seven development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of 13634.156 million rupees. Chairman Planning and Development (P&D) Habib ur Rehman Gilani presided over the 27th meeting of PDWP for current fiscal year 2018-19 while gave approval of the said schemes. Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all Members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included Institutional Strengthening Consultant for Institutional Reforms in Project Cities under Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Program (PICIIP) (PC-II) at the cost of Rs. 9.550 million, Sewerage / Drainage & PCC / RCC Scheme at Rahwali including Adjoining Abadies etc District Gujranwala (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 966.500 million, Establishment of Cadet College at Khanpur, R.Y. Khan (Revised) at the cost of Rs. 611.495 million, Pilot Shrimp Farming Cluster Development Project at the cost of Rs. 5,295.460 million, Cage Fish Culture Cluster Development Project at the cost of Rs. 6,087.690 million, Rehabilitation of Hajipur Gujran Flood Protection Bund R.D 0+000 to RD 37+750 District Narowal at the cost of Rs. 500.576 million and Protecting Village Abadies Shahapur Changora, Fatehpur Gujran, Suko Chak, Chakra, Chatri, Negrota, Khosa & Gole Against Erosive Action of Bein Nullah Shakargarh, Narowal at the cost of Rs. 162.885 million.
