Peshawar police have devised a security plan for the Eidul Fitr days.
According to officials, 3000 police personnel will remain in duty during Eid days.
Also, the leaves of the cops have been cancelled and additional personnel of riders squads and police patrol vans.
The entrance and exit points to Peshawar have been placed on monitoring while plainclothesmen would also perform duties at public places, besides an additional force.
Also, those who will leave Peshawar for to enjoy their Eid in rural areas have been asked to inform their respective police stations so that they houses can be secured against any robberies.
CCPO Abbas Ahsan and SSP Yasir Afridi have directed all divisional SPs and other officers to also ensure SOPs of coronavirus during Eid days, particularly in Eid prayer at mosques.
The officials also asked policemen to clear the Eidgahs of any explosive materials before Eid prayers, while special combat units would also be deployed to meet any emergency situation.
The police have recently arrested hundreds of people and registered many FIRs over violations of Covid-19 SOPs during the last several days.
