Police facilitation centre set up at RCCI

Local police established a facilitation centre at Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) on Saturday to provide maximum facilities to the business community.
City Police officer (CPO) Ahsan Younis inaugurated the Police Khidmet Markez at RCCI, saying the service centre will facilitate the issuance of learner traffic licence as well as character certificate, employee registration, verification and many other things.
CTO Rai Mazhar Iqbal also gave a short briefing on the centre, saying the state of the art facility has a paperless environment.
On this occasion, outgoing RCCI President Nasir Mirza said, “We are grateful to the government of Punjab, especially CPO Rawalpindi Ahsan Younis, for setting up the centre. RCCI’s major aim is to provide maximum facilities and convenience to its members, so they can get quality services under one roof, he added.
Business leader Sohail Altaf said that the traders would no longer have to go to different departments for different services. The modern service centre will increase transparency, he added.
RCCI Senior Vice President Osman Ashraf, Vice President Shahraiz Malik, newly elected office-bearers, former presidents, executive members and chamber members were also present on the occasion.
