ISLAMABAD, April 06 (Online): Following the division among the opposition parties in Senate. PPP and PML-N have decided to continue cooperation on the basis of issues in the house.
On the other hand PML-N is all set to complete number game to remove Yousuf Raza Gillani as opposition leader in Senate.
Sources said opposition leader in Senate Yousuf Raza Gillani desires that opposition parties should go side by side in Senate. However PML-N and JUI-F have refused to extend cooperation with him. Message has been conveyed to Yousuf Raza Gillani that as the opposition parties are in majority in the house therefore, cooperation will be extended on the basis of issues only. No permanent cooperation will be made.
Five opposition parties including PML-N have already filed application with chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani to allotting them separate seats. Separate seats will be allocated to them in the next session of Senate.
It is endeavor of PML-N and JUI-F that support from the independent Senators be sought for bringing vote of no trust against Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and making Azam Nazir Tarar as opposition leader in Senate.
