PESHAWAR
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) provincial president Muhammad Humayun Khan has said that all preparations have been finalized regarding cantonment board elections, adding that PPP will win the cantonment board elections across the province.
In a statement issued here from the PPP-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) secretriate, Humayun Khan said elections at the grassroots level are the nursery of true democracy. He said successful candidates in elections play a key role in solving the problems of the people at the grassroots level.
It is the responsibility of the officials and workers to ensure that these elections are held, adding that every worker of the PPP should work day and night for the success of the candidates contesting the elections on the party platform.
The new leadership will emerge in the elections at the lower level and the stronger the base at the lower level he said.
He said that PPP is the largest political party in the country and it will give surprising results in cantonment board and local body elections.
The eyes of conscious people of Pakistan are on Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, adding that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) framed fake charges against oppositions and kept them indulged in fake corruption cases but people have come to know the selected accountability of the incumbent government.
He said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) closed inquiries into major corruption cases against the government, ministers show that PTI government perusing the agenda of selected accountability.
