Islamabad: Mayor Islamabad Shaikh Ansar Aziz has stated that property tax of Federal Capital is very low as compare to the other areas of the country. “Property tax of Federal Capital Islamabad has increased after nineteen years and added the rate and value of Federal Capital property is very high but tax is very law as compare to other parts of the country” he stated this in an interview with “Online” on Sunday. Responding a question, he stated that the sitting PTI government isn’t providing funds to us because we belong to PML-N. “Residents of Federal capital is facing great hardship owing to the un-availability of funds’ he added. He stated that 70% machinery of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) is out of order and department has not enough fund to do maintenance of faulty machinery. Answering a question regarding employments he stated that CDA has total 18000 employees and 15000 would soon come to MCI and added that CDA hasn’t given a rupee to MCI during the past six months. Responding a question he stated that 35 to 40% water is being wasted owing to the faulty pipelines and repairing work of water pipelines not done for past many years. “As many as 50 to 60 tube wells among 190 were in working conduction when I took charge of the office but now 160 tube-wells are in working condition, he reiterated.
