LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has lauded the Pakistan Army’s befitting and exemplary retaliatory action against Indian aggression, stating that the response given in light of India’s cowardly aggression will be written in golden letters in history.

Addressing the soldiers of Pakistan, she said: “Salute to you, the protectors of the sacred land. Salute to your passion, salute to your honour.”

Maryam also paid tribute to the defenders who responded not only with bullets but also with honour, wisdom, and bravery.

Referring to the operation, Bunyan-un-Marsoos (meaning “well-fortified molten lead wall”), she stated that it was not merely a retaliatory action but a historic declaration that Pakistan is not weak and was silent only for the sake of peace.

“When the enemy crossed the line, Pakistan turned its patience into wisdom and delivered a strong blow,” the chief minister stated. She said that while Pakistan desires peace, the response to aggression is not silence but a forceful strike.

Maryam also said that Pakistan’s borders are not just protected by barbed wire but by the blood of its martyrs too.
