Rapid increase in population resulting in health, economy issues: Faisal Sultan

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s special assistant for health Dr. Faisal Sultan has said that Pakistan is the fifth largest country with respect to population and the population increase rate is also largest [2.4 pc] among several countries of the region.
Prime Minister’s aide on Wednesday said that yearly more than 3 million individuals are being added to country’s population.
Health ministry is celebrating this week to bring issues like increase in population to the limelight.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, while addressing a ceremony with regard to this special week, said that population increase is also adding to country’s sufferings and creating health and economy problems.
Premier’s aide said that government has included population control in its foremost priority list so that population spread could be prevented and a balance in resources could be introduced.
