Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the transparent elections will boost the morale of the election commission of Pakistan and electoral reforms have become necessary for transparent elections.
Talking to media at Governor House Sunday, Sarwar said that in order to make next elections fair, government is working with commitment. Opposition is an obstacle in the way of free and fair elections & election results will come in front of people within few hours through electronic voting machine.
Governor Punjab said that from the first day government is inviting all the political parties to sit together in order to make electoral reforms but opposition is refusing instead of having discussion with government. Still there is time; opposition should negotiate with government to make the next elections transparent.
Sarwar said there is no doubt that fingers have been raised on every election that held in Pakistan so far but our government want to make the next elections absolutely transparent so that even the losing candidate cannot raise a finger on it. Other than electronic machine there is no option for transparent elections.
