Lahore: Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Saturday ordered the Punjab government to retrieve government land from Malik Mansha Ali Khokhar alias Mansha ‘Bomb’ and his relatives within a week. A two-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, conducted hearing of a suo moto case pertaining to recovery of land from land grabbers in Lahore Registry. The applicant prayed the top court that despite the retrieve of land ownership is not being given to him. He further added that Civil Judge Muhammad Mir’s attitude with him was not suitable whereas he was paying more respect to the lawyers of Mansha ‘Bomb’. The top court has transferred Civil Judge Muhammad Mir on the complaint of the victim. The top court judge remarked, “Where is Punjab chief minister why he should not be called for explanation?” as he had claimed that all government property will be retrieved from land grabbers. The chief justice also reprimanded Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Punjab Amjad Javed Saleemi for his force’s conduct. The court remarked the operation has been closed after a two-day operation.
