They said that charity practices are part of our religion and it is our religious and moral responsibility but unfortunately 26 percent people are unaware of their donations and they can go to the wrong hands for negative activities in the country.
The directorate of social welfare is working under the KP charity commission and all NPOs are bound to ensure registration of their organizations as directed by the KP charity commission and Directorate of social welfare, they added.
They maintained that the commission is fully aware about queries and reservations of Non Profit Organizations and these challenges and issues will soon be sought out.
Muhammad Shehzad introduced NACTA and its tasks regarding peace building in the country. He emphasized NPOs to keep an eye on the new information of NACTA. He said that NACTA is also engaged in mass awareness drives to disseminate awareness regarding countering extremism.
He also said that NACTA is not only engaging local but national and international NPOs as well.
Advisor to Chief Minister KP on foreign Investment Mr. Kashif Irshad shared his thoughts about the need of this session and KP charities commission in his concluding remarks.
