Shopkeepers of Landi Kotal bazaar staged a protest rally at Bacha Chawk against detention of their 10 co-traders in accusing of the theft here on Wednesday.
It is to be mentioned here that the administration apprehended 10 shopkeepers in allegedly investigation of robbery, took place in mobile phone shop last day
Large number of shopkeepers while carrying black flags and placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their demand. They chanted full-throat slogans against local administration.
Addressing to angry mob, Israr Shinwari said that the administration had completely failed to provide security to the local business and it was the reason that local traders shifting their business to other safer places. To conceal its failure, the administration arrested 10 innocent local traders in connection of mobile phone shop theft that was injustice to them, he maintained.
He urged the authority to detect actual robbers and avoid harassing shopkeepers.
They demanded of the administration to release the detainees and arrest the real thief who had stolen mobile phones, worth of millions otherwise they had no other option but to initiate indefinite agitation.
