Swat motorway extension to be started soon: Akbar Ayub

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Communication & Works, Akbar Ayub Khan on Wednesday said that 70KM Chakaddra to Swat motorway extension project would be started very soon.
The government had already finalized the documentation and paper work for the said project, he said. He said that after completion of extension project and rural roads, the tourism will be boosted in Malakand region.
He was addressing to a delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB). Minister for Local Government Sharam Khan Tarakai, secretary C&W and secretary PHE were also present on this occasion. Minister was briefed on ongoing provincial roads project with the assistance of ADB and Swat motorway project.
Minister assured that during the course of project completion, a standard security will be provided to staff. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) delegation said that funds will be soon released for the projects.
Minister said that C&W and Public Health Engineering (PHE) will work together in water projects, while after the completion of clean drinking water projects, the masses will get clean drinking water which is their major right.
Akbar Ayub Khan said that rural roads construction was their major priority. He directed the office bearers that timely completion as well as quality of the projects be ensured and all the projects be completed in the stipulated time.
