The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed three factories and seized thousands of kilogram fake spices during a crackdown here on Sunday.
On a tip-off, the PFA raided factories producing fake chili powder, chaat masala and other spices in Aminpur, Nurpur and Rashidabad localities of Faisalabad.
During crackdown three factories were sealed after recovery of 11000 kilogram fake chilly power produced through chemical colour used in textile industry, 8000 kilogram other spices including chaat masala and black pepper powder.
The fake spices were supplied to Lahore, Rawalpindi and Peshawar.
Several employees of the three factories were arrested. Cases were registered against the owners of the factories and raids were being conducted for their arrest.
