Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed said on Wednesday that cooperation of the public and traders in the campaign against encroachments is appreciable.
This he said while paying a visit to Ashraf Road where an anti-encroachment campaign was conducted recently. DSP Zever Shah, DSP Zakaullah Khan and others also accompanied the official.
During the visit, Abbas Majeed also met the presidents of the traders of the area, listened to their problems and asked the traffic police to solve those problems.
“Vehicles should not be parked in no-parking zones as it will create hurdles in the flow of traffic,” he told the traders of the markets.
The traders were also asked to obey the laws and ensure traffic rules implementation. Similarly, the underage drivers were being discouraged and actions being taken against one wheeling on the roads.
Abbas Majeed also said that traffic cops were also helping people when it rains to help motorists get through floods and other issues. He said the manhole were being covered and people facilitated to ensure smooth traffic flow.
