Traffic police release one month report

Traffic Police in Peshawar have released a one month report regarding its activities.
The report says that during the month, actions have been taken against more than 50 000 people for traffic related violations and also more than 10 million rupees were collected in fines.
A traffic police spokesman said that awareness is also being raised among public about road sense and traffic rules to better drive.
The other measures include launching of radio station FM 88.6, computerized duty roaster, e-challans and zebra crossings restoration in the city.
The traders were also asked to obey the laws and ensure traffic rules implementation. Similarly, the underage drivers were being discouraged and actions being taken against one wheeling on the roads.
Abbas Majeed also said that traffic cops were also helping people when it rains to help motorists get through floods and other issues. He said the manhole were being covered and people facilitated to ensure smooth traffic flow.
