Water levels rising in Pakistan’s rivers, dams

KARACHI: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) said on Wednesday that presently there was 3,60, 000 cusecs of water flow in rivers while the water reservoirs in dams stood at 1.7 million acres feet. Updating on the water situation in different rivers and dams of Pakistan, the Authority said in a statement that inflow of water in River Indus at Basham was 2, 9000 cusecs, the inflow of water at Tarbela Dam was 1, 60, 000 cusecs while the discharge was 100, 000 cusecs; the water flow in River Kabul at Nowshera was 77, 000 cusecs; water inflow in River Jhelum at Mangla stood at 69, 000 cusecs while the discharge was 35, 000 cusecs.
