ISLAMABAD : Islamabad High Court (IHC) has accepted plea from a girl for returning to Azerbaijan who was brought to Pakistan through human trafficking.

The court ordered to send the girl to Azerbaijan before November 6.

The case came up for hearing before Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani of IHC Tuesday.

Faisal Edhi, chairman of Edhi Foundation appeared in the court during the hearing of the case.

The counsel for the petitioner told the court that Edhi Foundation will bear the expenses of one thousand dollars to be incurred in connection with return of the girl to Azerbaijan.

The court remarked what was job of the state Edhi Foundation is doing it.

The counsel said Faisal Edhi was telling that he had been making rounds of interior ministry since the last two years. But nothing has been done.

Director Legal FIA said “we have written to Karachi office. They will see this matter.

The court inquired if she goes back now then how FIA will conduct inquiry.

The investigation officer will be able to record her statement through video link despite her leaving Pakistan.FIA has to take action against all those who are involved in this matter.

The court granted the plea with these directions.

Talking to media men later Faisal Edhi said the IHC has ordered to recover more girls who have been entrapped forcibly in sex trade. This girl can return to Azerbaijan till November 6. This girl had come to Edhi home Karachi two years back. She was forced to indulge in immoral activities. When she came to us we started endeavoring to send her back to Azerbaijan. Police was told that the passport of the girl was seized and she was forced to indulge in prostitution. The girl has been issued temporary passport.
