PESHAWAR: Awami National Party spokesman Zahid Khan has urged the world powers to include Afghanistan in tripartite dialogue among Pakistan, China and Russia and take Kabulinto confidence before deciding its future.
\nHe was addressing a function in Jabagai Sheikhan village here on Thursday wherein Salam Khan, a councillor of J a m a a t i I s 1 a m i , announced to join ANP along with 48 families of the village.
\nMr Khan alleged that Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam and provinci al mini ster s were inaugurating development schemes approved by the ANP government in the past
\nHe said that Rs4.5 billion had been set aside by the federal government for provision of natural gas to different parts of Lower Dir.
\nHe said that provision of gas would help to end deforestation and air pollution in the area.
\nThe ANP leader said that Chakdara-Chitral Road was not part of the western route of ChinaPakistan Economic Corridor.
\nHe said that claim of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was baseless in thatregard.
\nMr Khan said also criticised PTI and JI and said that leaders of both the parties were not sincere with Pakhtuns as they were interested only in Islamabad.
\nANP tehsil councillor Ibrahim Khan, Shah Wali Khan, Shah Wazir Mirza and Essa Mphammad also spoke on the occasion.
\nL G REPRESENTAT IV ES: The local government representatives from Sultankhel union council on Thursday alleged that some vested interested elements were blackmailing the assistant director of local government department to get approved their illegal bills.
\nSpeaking at a news conference, district councillor Fazal Sharief, tehsil councillor Hayat Khan, Adoky village council naib nazim Khurshid Khan, general councillor Shamand Roz Khan and youth councillor Islam Mula said that a village council nazim, who was running a construction company, was pressurising the assistant director to pass his illegal bills.
\nThey said the official was blamed baselessly for demanding 15 per cent commission in developmental schemes.
\nThey said that no one was allowed to get commission but the nazim was blackmailing the official for his personal interests.
