Once again the National Assembly has witnessed uproar\u00a0over the issue of FATA reforms. Protests were held both inside and outside the parliament over the deferment of the FATA reforms package despite the passage of a bill in the lower house. Undoubtedly, FATA citizens have been facing discrimination despite being loyal to the state. The apathy of the incumbent federal cabinet has enraged the lawmakers hailing from FATA. This is the reason that FATA lawmakers\u2019 parliamentary leader Shah G Gul Afridi has warned the government to implement FATA reforms till March 12 failing which the tribal people would encircle the Prime Minister House and the presidency.
\nUp till now the matter is in the hands of the federal government that it could avert any chaos that is becoming more imminent due to continuous apathy shown by the successive regimes to the reforms in tribal areas. It is high time the federal government brought the most neglected parts of the country into mainstream and ensured the people of FATA get their rights as enshrined in the Constitution of Pakistan. Entangled in the clutches of an outdated system that was promulgated by the British in FATA more than 100 years ago, the life of the tribesmen is stagnant and needs reform. Due to its geographical location and for being a centre of internal, external conflicts and wars imposed by the US and former Soviet Union, the inhabitants of FATA have been facing numerous difficulties for many years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
