\nPakistan\u2019s limited-overs captain Babar Azam has set his eyes on scoring a triple century, during the Test series against England.
\nWhile speaking during a teleconference from Worcestershire, Azam said that it is important to convert centuries into a bigger score.
\n\u201cWhen you score a century, you naturally want to go on and convert that into a double or a triple century. This is something I would like to do during the Test series,\u201d said Azam. \u201cI like to play my natural game but my selection of shots depends on the conditions and bowlers.\u201d
\nThe right-handed batsman was also optimistic about winning the Test series against the home side.
\n\u201cWe performed well on our previous tour of England which is why players are eagerly looking forward to the series,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are currently focused on winning the Test series as that is our first goal on the tour.\u201d
\n\u201cEngland have the home advantage but our bowlers will give tough time to their batsmen. We will target their fragile Test top-order. Mohammad Abbas is experienced while Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi have a lot of potential. We have high expectations from our bowlers,\u201d he added.
\nAzam also admitted that wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan would be the team\u2019s first choice in the Test series, despite the presence of former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed in the squad.
\n\u201cMohammad Rizwan is our first choice wicketkeeper and he will get full chance during the Test series,\u201d he said.
\nThe Lahore-born also urged people to compare him with Pakistan\u2019s legendary batsmen, rather than Indian skipper Virat Kohli.
