Qureshi says he is recovering from COVID-19, urges people not to pay attention to rumours

\nForeign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who tested positive for novel coronavirus last week, rubbished on Thursday rumours that he had passed away.
\nHis profile on Wikipedia was edited on July 5 after being hacked, showing that the foreign minister had \u2018died\u2019 on July 4.
\nIn a statement, the foreign minister said that \u201cmischievous\u201d elements had edited his profile on the site. \u201cMany complications were created, and it caused distress to my loved ones and family members,\u201d he said, adding that he had even started receiving phone calls.
\n\u201cThere is no truth to these reports, and I am doing well,\u201d the minister said.
\nThe Foreign Office also issued a separate statement about the changes made to Qureshi\u2019s profile.
\n\u201cWe strongly condemn attempts by mischievous elements to hack the Wikipedia page of the foreign minister & spread rumours on social media about his health & well-being,\u201d FO spokesperson Aisha Farooqui posted on Twitter.
\n\u201cby the grace of Allah, Qureshi is recovering fast. Everyone\u2019s prayers, from Pakistan and abroad, are deeply appreciated,\u201d she said.
\nQureshi had tested positive for Covid-19 on July 3. In a tweet, he had said that he had quarantined himself at home after having symptoms, including slight fever.
