\nPakistan-born South African cricketer Imran Tahir has revealed that he regretted the fact that he could not represent Pakistan despite the passion he holds for cricket and the country.
\nSpeaking to the media, the spinner credited Lahore cricket in playing a huge part in his journey as a great cricketer. \u201cI am proud to have played cricket in Lahore\u201d, he said.
\nTalking about his decision to play cricket for South Africa, Tahir said that he was grateful for the blessings he had received which had opened doors of opportunity for him. He also credited his wife for supporting him in his journey so far.
\n\u201cMost of the credit for playing for South Africa goes to my wife,\u201d he said.
\nNoting that it would be better if the Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions were decided on the ground, Tahir said that if by any chance, the remaining matches are not played due to the prevailing uncertain circumstances, then the top position team on the points table should be declared the winner.
\nEarlier this month, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had opted to put up the remaining PSL 2020 matches, which were called off due to the coronavirus and rain, in Pakistan rather than the United Arab Emirates.
