MANSEHRA: The contractor has begun survey for the construction of Datta-Shinkiari Bypass Road.
\nThe project, which has Rs5 billion funds in the current annual budget, will be executed after the completion of the survey to reduce traffic congestion on the Karakoram Highway and Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad Road.
\nRepresentatives of the construction company Mohammad Ali and ZafarIqbal, Safada village council nazimBasharat Ali Swati, tehsil councillor from Datta Assad Shah and Chakia village council nazim Mohammad Pervez examined the exercise.
\nThe Safada village council nazim said the bypass road\u2019s construction would not only ease traffic mess on the KKH from Qalandarabad in Abbottabad to Shinkiari but also ensure smooth traffic on the MNJ Road in the tourist season.
\nHe praised the provincial government for approving the project and sanctioning Rs 5 billion for it. The nazim said the project would ensure development of the areas located along the road.
\nHe said the survey was being conducted in such a way that it didn\u2019t adversely affect residential or populated areas.
\nThe nazim said the bypass road would halve the KKH traffic load and that its early construction would be ensured by all means.
\nENFORCEMENT OF SHARIAH: Former senator and JUI-F leader Hidayatullah Shah on Monday said his party was striving to enforce Shariah in the county by democratic means.
\n\u201cThe time is not far when the people will vote the JUI-F to power to bring about an Islamic revolution in the country,\u201d he told a public meeting here in Pulrah area.
\nMr. Shah said his party firmly stood against conspiracies being hatched by anti-Islam forces against Pakistan and its true ideology. He said the JUI-F would sweep the next elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially Mansehra.
\nFormer lawmaker Mufti Kifaitullah said more and more activists of political parties were joining the JUI-F after being sick of the parties being ruled by some families.
\nFormer provincial minister HabiburRehman said the enforcement of Islamic system was the only way to the country\u2019s development and progress.
\nHe said he had joined the party after being impressed by its struggle for the enforcement of Islamic laws.
