\nKhyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Housing, Dr Amjad Ali has said that high-rise apartments in Nishtarabad area of the provincial capital would be built on 36 kanals of land at a cost of around Rs15 billion.
\nHe was briefing media persons here on Wednesday after Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Department inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) for the construction of 20 plus floors high-rise residential apartments in Nishtarabad.
\nThe minister said the first four flours of the high-rise building would be dedicated for commercial purposes, while the fifth floor would be reserved for government offices. He stated that residential apartments would be constructed on the rest of the floors.
\nThe housing minister said on the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the provincial government has a special focus on the housing sector in the province, and work on various housing schemes has been expedited. He said with robust work on housing sector would help the economy to grow in the province, and affordable housing units would be constructed for the low income strata of the society.
\nThe provincial minister said the high-rise is one of the mega projects of the provincial government, under which the first ever 20 plus high-rise building would be constructed in Peshawar.
\nEarlier, the MoU was signed by Secretary Housing KP Daud Khan and Director General FGEHA Waseem Hayat Bajwa here at Civil Secretariat on Wednesday. The MOU signing ceremony was also attended by Minister Housing Dr Amjad Ali, DG Provincial Housing Authority Imran Wazir, FGEHA Director Staff Fayaz Gill, and Director Coordination Adnan Dayar.
\nAccording to MOU, the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority would provide technical and managerial assistance and support in respect of the planning, execution, designing, engineering, construction, supervision and marketing of residential apartments. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
