RAWALPINDI: Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi TalatMehmudGondal has said that effective monitoring and evaluation system has improved the performance and service delivery mechanism of Education, Health and Population Welfare departments in the province and now there is no concept of any ghost employee in any government department after evolving online vigilance method.
\nHe stated this while addressing a ceremony held at DC office, Rawalpindi on Friday in connection with handing over tablets to Monitoring & Evaluation Assistants (MEAs). Renowned social personality and President Pakistan Green Task Force Dr. Jamal Nasir also handed over tablets to 35 MEAs of Education department on this occasion along with Deputy Commissioner.
\nTalatMehmudGondal said that the performance of government departments had been considerably increased after evolving effective monitoring system in the province under the initiatives of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. He appreciated the dedicated spirit of MEAs which had played a pivotal role to ensure uninterrupted health, education and population welfare services to the citizens. He said that these important segments of social sector had great importance for mitigating the sufferings of common people and it is endeavor of government to focus on the provision of quality services in both rural and urban areas.
\nDr. Jamal Nasir also lauded the contributions of District Monitoring field staff and termed the monitoring system an effective tool to ensure transparency in utilization of government facilities in its true perspective. He also appreciated the provision of necessary facilities by the government to the monitoring staff which had enabled them to perform their functions efficiently.
\nDistrict Monitoring Officer Mehr Abbas briefed that MEAs performing their duties with missionary zeal and it helped to ensure attendance, availability of medicines and provision of quality facilities of health, education and population welfare departments in the district. He said that the field staff has been equipped with tablets, online net working facilities and they had also been given motor bikes to visit educational institutions, health and population welfare centers in urban and far flung rural areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
