{"id":137658,"date":"2020-08-10T05:27:25","date_gmt":"2020-08-10T00:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=137658"},"modified":"2020-08-10T05:27:25","modified_gmt":"2020-08-10T00:27:25","slug":"app-launched-to-track-plantation-drive-dar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/app-launched-to-track-plantation-drive-dar\/","title":{"rendered":"App launched to track plantation drive: Dar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TLTP<br \/>\nISLAMABAD<br \/>\nSpecial Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Usman Dar said on Sunday announced that the government has launched an application to track the ongoing plantation drive in the country through geo-tagging technology.<br \/>\nThe application was prepared with the help of the Punjab Information Technology Board to keep the record of each sapling, being planted under the country\u2019s first-ever digital plantation campaign.<br \/>\nA special feature of geo-tagging has been incorporated in the application, enabling the forest departments\u2019 officers to keep the plantation record.<\/p>\n<p>Giving details about the mobile application, Usman Dar said that live location and number of planted saplings will be identified through this special application.<\/p>\n<p>Besides all this, a green selfie feature has also been introduced in the application to enable the volunteers to upload their pictures while planting a sapling anywhere in the country, he added.<\/p>\n<p>He further said it is the first time in the country\u2019s history that modern technology is being employed to carry out a plantation drive in the country.<\/p>\n<p>He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is going to launch the \u201cbiggest ever\u201d tree plantation drive in the country\u2019s history for the safety of future generations.<\/p>\n<p>In a tweet, he called on the heads as well as members of opposition parties to cast aside all their political differences for the sake of the country and partake in the tree plantation campaign alongside the government.
