Rallies against Imran Khan government will continue: ANP provincial president

\nThe provincial president of Awami National Party (ANP) Aimal Wali Khan said on Saturday that democratic forces of the country cannot be intimidated by threat alerts. He said that its party believe in harmony and support the agenda of peace in the country and will never make any attempt to weaken the state and its institutions.
\nHe said that attempts to spread religious hatred in various parts of the country continue to serve the vested interest of anti-state elements required attention from the incumbent government.
\nHe said that lack of trust among the state institutions and political parties leadership will weaken democracy. He said that non-state actors organizing in Waziristan, Swat, Dir, Buner, and other parts of the province.
\nAddressing a press conference at the residence of former ANP senator Abdul Nabi Bangash in Islamabad, ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan said that peace came to the country due to the sacrifices of ANP workers, police, army, and people.
\nThe country cannot afford another war, but if a fire breaks out this time, no one will be able to stop it. He said that according to Pakistan\u2019s parliamentary resolution, the Afghan negotiation process would be successful and Pakistan would support it which would be lead by Afghan only, adding that Gulbuddin Hekmatyar can come to Pakistan and hold meetings with government why can\u2019t this process be extended to other countries.
\nThe PDM is a democratic alliance of opposition parties against the incompetent government of Pakistan Tehreek \u2013i-Insaf (PTI) he added. Talking about the threat alerts before the PDM meeting, Aimal Wali Khan said that the threat alerts of terrorism already existed but it does not stop from holding rallies across the countries under the banner of PDM.
\nAimal Wali said that democratic forces of the country cannot be intimidated by such threat alert, adding that PDM has been formed by the Opposition with a clear representation of all major and domestic political parties that have destined to be successful in achieving their set goals. He said that the Awami National Party demanded that the present government should resign as soon as possible and that fresh, transparent and interference-free elections should be held in the country, electoral reforms should be carried out and the Election Commission should formulate such a strategy. He also demanded that the security agencies should keep themselves away from the political and electoral process so that no one could raise a finger against their role in the political process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
