{"id":16155,"date":"2017-04-15T18:13:23","date_gmt":"2017-04-15T08:13:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=16155"},"modified":"2017-04-15T18:13:23","modified_gmt":"2017-04-15T08:13:23","slug":"nasir-refused-to-meet-pcb-representatives-shahryar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/nasir-refused-to-meet-pcb-representatives-shahryar\/","title":{"rendered":"Nasir refused to meet PCB representatives: Shahryar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE<br \/>\nPakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan on Friday said former opener Nasir Jamshed had refused to meet the board\u2019s representatives in the UK for investigation into the PSL spot-fixing scandal.<br \/>\nSpeaking to media earlier today, Khan said the PCB had sent its representatives to the UK to contact Jamshed for progress in the investigation but the suspended cricketer had refused to meet them.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have a lot of evidence against the charged players,\u201d he said in response to a question about the hearing by the PCB\u2019s anti-corruption tribunal today.<br \/>\nI am willing to cooperate with the<br \/>\nPCB: Jamshed<br \/>\nIn an exclusive conversation with private news channel, former Pakistan opener Nasir Jamshed has denied allegations against him and expressed his willingness to cooperate with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).<br \/>\n\u201cI am willing to cooperate with the PCB but request that the NCA inquiry should\u00a0be completed first.\u201d<br \/>\nDenying reports related to him in the media, Nasir Jamshed said: \u201cI have not changed my residence nor am I hiding from anyone.\u201d<br \/>\nPCB on Tuesday formally charged Jamshed for refusing to cooperate in and obstructing its anti-corruption investigation.<br \/>\nNasir has been charged under two different clauses of PCB\u2019s anti-corruption code both related to individual\u2019s role in the investigation. Surprisingly, Nasir \u2013 who was once stated as the main character in the scandal \u2013 is not charged with fixing, attempting fixing and contacts with bookies or even encouraging players to get involved in fixing.<br \/>\n\u201cThe Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has today issued a Notice of Charge to Nasir Jamshed for violation of Articles 2.4.6 and 2.4.7 of the PCB Anti-Corruption Code requiring him to respond within 14 days,\u201d said a statement of PCB.<br \/>\nBoth the clauses are related to an individual\u2019s role in ongoing investigations of the case and both carry a different level of penalties if charges are proven.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan on Friday said former opener Nasir Jamshed had refused to meet the board\u2019s representatives in the UK for investigation into the PSL spot-fixing scandal.
