\nAppreciating the support of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) in socio-economic development of Pakistan, Minister for Economic Affairs Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has said that Pakistan will share experience in fields of social protection and poverty alleviation, textile, and dairy and milk products under the South-South Cooperation.
\nHe said this during the online launch of the report on \u2018Mapping Pakistan\u2019s Resource Centres,\u2019 co-chaired by him and President IDB Dr Bandar Hajjar in Islamabad on Thursday.
\nThe minister said that producing the report on the \u2018Mapping of Pakistan\u2019 Resource Centres\u2019 is an important milestone to highlight the level of development in four key sectors of the economy, including agriculture, agro-based industries, pharmaceuticals and information and communication technologies.
\nHe underlined the importance of the report by saying that this will help the developing member countries to benefit from Pakistan\u2019s experience through knowledge sharing.
\nPresident IsDB Group, Dr Bandar Hajjar appreciated the great potential of knowledge and expertise available in Pakistan and cherished that other member countries will benefit from this publication.
\nHe also informed that IsDB has an ongoing support to mitigate Covid-19 impacts and has further allocated $2.5 billion to help the member countries for vaccine procurement.
\nThe minister and president IsDB expressed their readiness to cooperate with each other and to involve the selected Resource Centers in Reverse Linkage projects for the betterment of Islamic Ummah. The event was virtually attended by all field offices of IsDB in the member countries and other experts.
\nIt is pertinent to mention here that the profiles of sixteen Pakistani institutions\u2013 referred as Resource Centres – that have excellence in the respective field and developed reliable technologies have been published which can be shared by other member countries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
