The said ultimatum expired today (Friday) as the Chief Justice took action against the judges during a meeting held in order to review the performances of the judiciary subordinate to Punjab.<br \/>\nTen civil judges were downgraded by the CJ to OSD ranks by the approval of the executive committee after their performances were deemed poor. However, 74 judges were promoted as a result of putting up good performances.<br \/>\nAccording to the notification, 37 senior civil judges were promoted to the ranks of senior civil judges whereas 37 civil judges were promoted to the ranks of senior civil judges.<br \/>\nLahore High Court Chief Justice stated that there was no place in the judiciary for the judges who fail to provide timely justice to the litigants.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>LAHORE ; Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice (CJ) Mansoor Ali Khan on Friday downgraded 10 judges to Officer on Special Duty (OSD) rank upon displaying poor performances, reported Dunya News.
