Petition filed by a citizen Muhammad Akhtar came up for hearing before single bench of IHC presided over by the Chief Justice (CJ) Athar Minallah here Tuesday.  The counsel for the petitioner told the court appointment of DG Sports Board falls in the powers of the federal government. The rules-2002 stand abolished. Now rules 2020 have been framed.  The court remarked federal government can constitute only board and cannot frame rules. Board has to frame rules. Rules-2020 of Pakistan Sports Board are correct. The court while issuing notice to the respondents has sought reply within two weeks.
