ISLAMABAD, April 09 (Online): Supreme Court (SC) senior judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa said Friday the protectors of constitution broke the oath of protecting the constitution. <\/p>\n
\u201c The protectors of the constitution broke the oath of protecting the constitution. If we abrogate the constitution then it will fall in the ambit of treason\u2019, he said this while addressing a seminar captioned fundamental rights in Islam and constitution held here Friday under Islamabad High Court Bar Association (IHCBA|). <\/p>\n
He went on to say Quaid-e-Azam said Pakistan constitution will be democratic and will be based on Islamic laws. <\/p>\n
Quaid-e-Azam said all are equal in Islam and the justice should prevail predominantly. Constitution provides protection to all citizens including Christian, Hindu and other religions. <\/p>\n
He held \u201cWe have not learnt the constitution. We have not translated it into Urdu even. On the other hand we imparted such treatment to it what we do with the Holy Quran.\u201d
\nHe went on to say that the people rejected the constitution due to their lust. The protectors of the constitution broke the oath what they had taken for protecting it. <\/p>\n
Qazi held \u201c it does not seem to me that constitution of Pakistan is taught in any school in the country. In US schools, constitution was taught so that the students could learn it in their early age. <\/p>\n
He underlined that studying the constitution is must because we come to know how Pakistan came into being after studying the constitution. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe have half Pakistan with us at present because half part of Pakistan stand separated from us\u201d, he remarked. <\/p>\n
Justice Qazi Faez Isa said if we abrogate the constitution it will fall in the ambit of treason. We will be punished in the hereafter for this treason. If constitution is removed then the federation stands disintegrated and Pakistaniat remains no more. <\/p>\n
He underlined that our constitution was based on Allah is sovereign power. <\/p>\n
Islam has laid special focus on protecting rights of the laborers. It is laid down in Islam that compensation to a laborer be paid to him before his sweating dries up, he observed.
