Peshawar(PR): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzaffar Said Advocate has said ECNEC approved three important road projects from chakdara to Chitral worth Rs. 17423 million besides other mega schemes.
\nThe projects covered 132 KM of the National Highway including 40 KM road from Chakdara bridge to Temergara, 44 KM road from Khagram to Dir Upper and 48 KM road from Dir Khas to Tala Katak ( Chitral ). Similarly Rs. 6 billion additional fund of reviewed estimate of 40 KM approach roads on both sides of Lowari Tunnel have also been approved increasing the expenditures needs from Rs 20985 million to Rs 26855 million for which he personally thanked Federal finance Minister Ishaq Dar.
\nHe revealed this while talking to delegation of the residents of Malakand working in twin cities that called on him at Pakhtunkhwa House Islamabad led by Haji Fazal Khabir after attending and representing KP in ECNEC meeting in Islamabad on Monday.
\nMuzaffar Said Advocate said that the new road projects would bring our Highway conditions at par with international standard.
\nand also greatly contribute in improving socio-economic conditions of the locals besides giving boost to the tourism in the scenic valleys of three mountainous districts.
\nHe while assuring proper resolution of the grievances put forth by the delegation, made clear that their elected Government would never compromise on rights and developments of the Province.
\nHe said that besides these four Federal Mega road projects of Rs. 47 billion foundation stone of 81 KM Swat Motorway worth Rs. 34 billion was also being laid that would soon bring about revolution in living conditions of the poor people over there.
\nSimilarly he said dualization of Highway from Chakdara to Dir Khas was also being considered so that infrastructure of the three districts could be improved in wake of expanding road trade links with adjacent country Tajikstan and other Central Asian States.
\nHe said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has also included hundreds of thousands Kilometers of Provincial Highway of Malakand Division in the PSDP and ADP.
