Former chief minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and Awami National Party senior vice president, Amir Haider Hoti has said that they will give tough time to the government during the upcoming budget. \u201cConspiracies are being hatched against the 18th amendment, he added.
\nHe expressed these views while talking to the media at the inauguration of Sani Care and Cash Mall at Shamsi Road. Party leaders Abbas Sani, Javed Yousafzai, Haroon Khan, Haji Abdul Aziz Khan, Farooq Akram Khan and other leaders were also present. Haider Hoti added that they still agreed with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM)\u2019s points but we separated our ways due to personal decisions of some people.
\nAmir Haider Hoti strongly criticized the government and said that the budget is based on the indications of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the claims of economic recovery are false and no independent body has confirmed the government\u2019s claims. Haider Hoti said that the federal budget is not according to the expectations of the public.
\nHe added that unemployment, price hike and poverty have made the lives of the people of the country miserable. He added that they, along with other opposition parties, will give tough time to the government in the budget.
\nHe argued that the decision to return to PDM would be taken after looking at the role of those giving notice. He added that we still agreed with the agenda of PDM but few people have embraced PDM.
\nHe declared premature the PDM-style alliance led by the ANP and the PPP. He added that in a recent meeting with PPP\u2019s chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari they discussed political issues.
\nHe added that both ANP and PPP agreed and decided in the recent meeting that both parties will start contact with civil society, lawyers, farmers and students and will go out on the ground.
\nThe ANP senior vice president said that the situation was critical and conspiracies were being hatched against the 18th amendment. The situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating again, he added.
