Polio campaign and the video of France viral on social media has affected the Covid-19 vaccination in the district, however we are trying our best to achieve the target, these views were expressed by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Kachkol Khan while giving briefing to a meeting arranged at deputy commissioner officer in connection of Covid-19 vaccination. Deputy Commissioner Habidbullah Arif chaired the meeting.
\nAdditional deputy Commissioner (ADC) general Mujeeb-ur-Rehman, ADC Finance Naik Mohammad, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Dr. Saman Abass, general secretary Mardan press club Mohammad Riaz Mayar, Maulana Israr-ul-Haq and others attended the meeting.
\nAddressing to the meeting deputy commissioner said that district administration is trying it best to motivate the masses for the vaccination.
\nHe added that in this connection district administration has arranged meeting with the religious scholars, prayers leaders of mosques and administration of madaras and elders of the areas to motivate the masses for vaccination. \u201cMedia should also play it role to motivate the masses for vaccination\u201d, he argued.
\nDistrict Health Officer (DHO), Dr. Kachkol Khan while briefing the meeting said that 20 Covid-19 Vaccination Centers (CVC) are active through out the district. He added that 10 mobiles teams were also organized for Covid-19 vaccination. He added that the numbers of centers and mobile teams will be increased.
\nHe added that we are also extending the Covid-19 vaccination center to Basic Health Unit (BHU) level where a solar system facility is available. He added that more than one million people were vaccinated through out the district however this numbers is very less.
\nHe added that 76,727 people get first doze while 25, 424 people get second doze. DHO argued that social mobilization is very necessary for vaccination. He added to motivate the masses we are announcing through loudspeakers in different areas of the district.
\nHe added that our staff was engaged in polio campaign due to which the vaccination process becomes slow. He added that video of France viral on media also damaged the vaccination campaign.
\nHe added that now we will give speed to the vaccination process. DHO added that the third wave of the pandemic is coming to it end and the fourth wave will be more danger.
