Britney Spears\u2019 co-conservator has refuted her father\u2019s claims that she is the one stopping the singer from having a baby with Sam Asghari.<\/p>\n
The 39-year-old singer recently said in court during her conservatorship hearing that she wants to tie the knot and have more children, but claimed her conservators \u2013 including her father Jamie Spears \u2013 are preventing her from doing so after they made her have an IUD fitted.<\/p>\n
Jamie\u2019s lawyers released a statement on Wednesday (30.06.21) claiming Britney\u2019s medical decisions are made by her co-conservator, Jodi Montgomery, as he currently only deals with her financial affairs.<\/p>\n
And now, Jodi\u2019s own legal team have slammed that idea, stating that Britney\u2019s ability to marry or have a child with her boyfriend Sam has \u201cnever been impacted by the conservatorship\u201d while Jodi has been in the position, which she took in 2019.<\/p>\n
Jodi\u2019s attorney, LaurieAnn Wright, said in a statement: \u201cBritney\u2019s choice to marry and to start a family [has] never been impacted by the conservatorship while Ms. Montgomery has been conservator of the person.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can state unequivocally that Jodi Montgomery has been a tireless advocate for Britney and for her well-being. While she does not control Britney\u2019s financial assets, she is responsible for her personal care, and if Britney wants any issue brought up to the Court, Ms. Montgomery is and has always been ready, willing, and able to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to the attorney, the blame still lies with Jamie because getting married and having a baby is still a financial decision, which is currently under his jurisdiction.<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cPractically speaking, since everything costs money, no expenditures can happen without going through Mr. Spears and Mr. Spears approving them. Ms. Montgomery has advocated on Britney\u2019s behalf for any expenditures that Britney has requested as well as for expenditures recommended by Britney\u2019s medical team.\u201d<\/p>\n
During her court hearing \u2013 which was held in a bid to end the conservatorship she has been under since 2008 \u2013 Britney claimed she was unable to have children with her boyfriend Sam Asghari because of decisions made by her conservators.<\/p>\n
She said: “I would like to progressively move forward, and I want to have the real deal. I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I have an [IUD] inside of myself so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have children – any more children.\u201d<\/p>\n
The singer is already mother to 15-year-old Sean Preston and 14-year-old Jayden, whom she has with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
