Many others of her ilk agree, but also believe that getting older is something to be embraced, and that their value should not be based on looks alone. Some movie stars, however, admit to being anxious by the thought of age creeping up on them, and have turned to plastic surgery in an effort to delay the inevitable.<\/p>\n
Julianne Moore recently went deep on the topic of aging in an interview with As If magazine. She criticized the term ‘aging gracefully’ saying it was inherently judgmental. Her argument was that it suggests that we have any control over the way we age. “Is there an ungraceful way to age? We don’t have an option of course. No one has an option about aging, so it’s not a positive or a negative thing, it just is.”<\/p>\n
Moore suggests taking a new perspective on aging: rather than seeing it is a gradual decline, remember that we are learning and growing every day of our lives. This doesn’t stop when you finish school or university. “How do we continue to challenge ourselves, to interest ourselves, learn new things, be more helpful to other people, be the person that your friends and family need or want?
