\nOver a dozen villages of Taluka Jati district Sujawal lack basic facilities that have led to many issues related to the health and social life of people in these areas.
\nA survey showed that around 12 villages including Village Nazar Malah, Kesario Kohli, Village Jumu Malha, Hussain Abad, Ladho Malah, Tarr Khowaja, Barkat Brohi, and others with a population of around 5000 inhabitants were facing long-standing issues.
\nThe ramshackled school building, unavailability of clean drinking water, poor drainage system, improper health facilities, and broken roads were the core issues these villagers have been facing for the past two decades without any support on the part of authorities concerned and the stakeholders.
\nIt was learnt by this correspondent that the building of only state-owned elementary school Government primary School Mottan Khowaja was on the verge of collapse posing a dire threat to the lives of students and teachers.
\nImdad Hussain Acharani, the resident of village Hussain Abad, said that after the super flood of 2010 few non-governmental organizations worked for the development of this area but could provide an indefinite solution to the problems of these areas as a result of those problems aggravated by the passage of time.
\nThe Headteacher of the school told this correspondent that it was one of the oldest schools of the area imparting education for the past four decades but could catch the attention of neither the authorities concerned nor the elected representatives of the area who despite knowing about the pathetic condition of the building and never taken steps for the renovation of the building.
\n\u201cThese sorts of issues can only be solved through the collaboration of government functionaries and elected representatives but unfortunately they have turned a blind eye over the miserable plight of these villages\u201d; He held.
\nHanif Malha said that the majority of the population of this area was using contaminated water unsafe for human health that was bound to cause water-borne diseases as well as skin diseases. Adding that the drainage and sewerage system was also inferior that made their life miserable in case of heavy downpour in the area.
\nMohammad Ayoub revealed that since the people of these villages were facing abject poverty there wasn\u2019t any health facility provided to them by the government.
