\nPakistan Peoples Party will no longer do politics of sect, nationality but will unite all Chitral nation from Arandu to Brughal on one plateform so that we can develop this backward area.
\nThese views were expressed by the newly elected District President of PPP, Engineer Fazal Rabi. When he was elected District President, hundreds of party workers brought him in procession to Chitral where a public meeting was also held in his honor at Ataliq Chowk.
\nAddressing the gathering, the speakers said that PPP is the only party that cares for the poor and always represents the poor, which is why a person belonging to the middle class of Chitral was elected the district president. Most of the development work done in Chitral in PPP government.
\nThey said that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a world class leader who had a great love for Chitral. Fodder for cattle was also delivered in the C-130 plane to Broghul valley and people have not forgotten the services love of Bhutto Shaheed yet.
\nThe speakers also slammed the present government, saying that due to inflation, the life of a poor man has become miserable and he is struggling to provide at least one time food for his children with great hardships.
\nThey said that unfortunately none of the promises made by Imran Khan on the container were fulfilled.
\nHe stood on the container and burnt the electricity bill saying that in the government of a ruler whose electricity, gas, oil and other things become expensive, think that he is a thief. Now who will ask him that he has tripled the price.
\nThey said that a young leadership like Bilawal Zardari would take this party a long way and the people should not be deceived by fake promises of false leadership. Bilalwal Zardari is a young leader and will path the country on the way of development so as to enhance life standard of common person.
\nTalking to our correspondent, Engineer Fazal Rabi said that one of his priorities is to bring the PPP to the position where it stood in the days of Bhutto Shaheed.
\nHe said politics of sect, nationality and community will not be followed but everything will be on merit. He said that my first effort would be to unite the entire Chitral nation from Arandu to Brughal on a one platform to serve this poor and backward region and from here onwards to eradicate poverty and move on the path of development.
\n\u201cSunnis and Ismailis living in Chitral are equal to my two arms and we will deal with both on equal basis,\u201d he said. \u201cIf the PPP gets a chance to govern again, our first priority will be to improve the roads here and to improve the communication system,\u201d he said.
\nSharif Hussain, Qazi Sajjad, Alam Zeb Advocate and others also expressed their views in the public meeting which was later dispersed peacefully. The reception and welcome ceremony of newly elected president Eng Fazal Rabi was attended by a large number of people, including ideological senior politicians.
