The Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Friday stressed the need for business education from primary to top levels to produce successful businessmen instead of simple graduates or the laborer.
\nIn a statement, LCCI President Mian Nauman Kabir said that instead of producing labour class, we should create businessmen to bring economic excellence.
\nHe said that like other economies of the world, economy of Pakistan is also feeling the heat due to devastating effects of Covid-19 and it needs a good handholding from all sectors including academia.
\nHe said that job market of Pakistan is facing tsunami of simple graduates and due to lack of proper education and skills; they are unable to find employment opportunities.
\nThe LCCI President said that there is lack of proper business education in schools, colleges and universities owned by the government. That\u2019s why a large number of students are getting conventional education despite having good abilities to become successful businessmen.
\n\u201cA simple graduate will utilize his all energies to find a job but a successful businessman will provide jobs to the hundreds of people despite paying a good amount of revenue to the government\u201d, Nauman Kabir added.
\nHe said that Business Classes in academia will help students to ensure best career opportunities, will boost the international vision and will develop their unpolished skills.
\nNauman Kabir said that idea of more effective Business education facilities seems little but its results will be bigger than the expectations as the country would have more successful exporters who will be earning huge foreign exchange for the national exchequer.
\nThe LCCI President also called for strong linkages between industrial sector and academia to achieve the desired goal. It is also the most important tool to tackle the key economic challenges of Pakistan. It would also help invent new business models that are rapidly gaining the grounds all over the world.
\nHe said that understanding between industrial and education sectors should be developed on sustainable basis. He said that education sector needs to understand the industry\u2019s demand for skilled human resources and it is possible through strong relations between industry and academia.
