Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Member Provincial Assembly Khawaja Izharul has challenged the appointment of politicians as administrators of Karachi, and other cities of Sindh making secretary local government, administrator Karachi, the election commission and others as respondents. The petitioner requested the high court to issue an order to the provincial government for holding the local government elections immediately. He also sought the court\u2019s restraining order for the government over posting of the bureaucrats on political grounds as administrators in Sindh.
