\nThe Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) participated in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference, a statement said.
\nADIPEC is a premier energy sector event held in Abu Dhabi. It is hosted annually by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc). Managing Director of the SSGC, Imran Maniar said that finding new suppliers, probing new technologies and exploring investment potentials were among the key objectives behind SSGC\u2019s participation in ADIPEC, along with Pakistan\u2019s five other leading energy sector companies.
\nHe noted that SSGC faces challenges such as Unaccounted for Gas and gas leakages. The solutions lie in exploring new technologies and ADIPEC is an ideal global forum to look out for technology companies that can work with SSGC in resolving these grey areas.
\nThe SSGC managing director also said that the company was geared towards improving its financial bottom line that can be achieved by working with international companies that can introduce new technologies to achieve it. The Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division), Petroleum Institute of Pakistan (PIP) and SSGC featured in the event by setting up a grand Pakistan Pavilion that showcased different energy sectors of Pakistan. The theme of the Pavilion was \u2018Emerging Opportunities\u2019.
\nManiar was accompanied at ADIPEC by general manager\/incharge (Engineering Services); and acting deputy general manager of liquified natural gas (LNG) departments of SSGC.
\nParticipating companies from Pakistan also included Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL), Pak-Arab Refinery Limited (PARCO), Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and Pakistan State Oil (PSO).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
