\nFederal Minister Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi has desired a Green Shipping Corridor between Pakistan and the United States in the spirit of the recently signed Clydebank Declaration adopted in the COP26 conference last month.
\nThe minister shared his idea of starting a discussion to set up the Green Shipping Corridor during a meeting with US Charg\u00e9 d\u2019affaires a.i. Angela Aggeler who called on him on Wednesday.
\nThe minister also discussed the possibilities of facilitating US companies willing to invest in Pakistan.
\nMatters of mutual interest were discussed at length. There was a detailed exchange of ideas and opportunities where both the nations could enhance the working relationship in the maritime sector. Gwadar Port also came under discussion.
\nThe both dignitaries hoped for a stable situation in Afghanistan to realise the massive potential of Afghan transit and trade for Central Asian republics through Gwadar port.
