\nAn extremist mob brutally murdered Diyawadana, a Sri Lankan Christian alleging him of committing blasphemy. Diyawadana had been working as a factory manager in Sialkot for years, media reports revealed.
\nPrime Minister Imran Khan on Friday termed the incident as \u2018horrific vigilant attack\u2019 and said he was overseeing the investigations himself.
\n\u201cThe horrific vigilante attack on factory in Sialkot & the burning alive of Sri Lankan manager is a day of shame for Pakistan. I am overseeing the investigations & let there be no mistake all those responsible will be punished with full severity of the law. Arrests are in progress.\u201d Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted on Friday.
\nAccording to media reports, police officials of Sialkot claimed the deceased was known to be a strict administrator, adding around 110 suspects had been arrested, while raids were being conducted to apprehend the others.
\nIn a late-night statement, the IGP claimed that two main suspects, Farhan Idrees and Usman Rasheed, were among those arrested.
\nOn Saturday, Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Information Hasaan Khawar updated the number of arrests to 118, saying that 200 raids had been conducted and that among those detained were 13 primary suspects.
