MARDAN
\nA tough contest is expected between ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Awami National Party (ANP), JUI-F, PML-N, PPP and JI candidates for the slot of mayor of Mardan tehsil and chairmanship of four tehsil of Mardan district for which election will be held today. Total registered voter in Mardan tehsil are 553,031 including 309,507 male voters and 243,285 female voters are registered.
\nMardan is included by 39 NCs and 52 VCs. Eleven candidate including Awami National Party (ANP) candidate Himayatullah Mayar, JUI-F candidate Maulana Amant Shah, PTI candidate Lakhkar Khan, PPP candidate Asad Ali Kashmiri, JI candidate Mustaq Seemab, PML-N candidate Syed Inayat Shah Bacha, independent candidate Zahir Shah who is president of Markaz-e-Tanzeem Tajiran- Zahir Shah group and also remained president of Mardan chamber of commerce and industry, independent candidate Kaleemullah Toru who is president of PTI Sports and Cultural Wing Mardan rural, Anwar Shah and Asaf Khan are contesting election for the slot of mayor Mardan. However real and top contest is expected between PTI, ANP and JUI-F candidate for the slot of mayor Mardan tehsil. Total registered voters in tehsil Takhatbhai are 362,813 including 205,156 male and 157,648 female voters. Takhatbhai is included by 6 NCs and 49 VCs. For Takhatbhai tehsil seven candidates are contesting election for the chairman slot.
\nNasir Khan son of former MPA Bahadur Khan is contesting election from ANP, Mumtaz Khan from PML-N, Mohammad Khawar Khan son of former provincial minister Iftikhar Mohmand from PTI ticket, Aurungzeb Khan from PPP, Mohammad Saeed from JUI-F, Mazullah Khan from JI and Ayaz Ali Khan as independent candidate. However top contest is expected between PML-N, JUI-F, ANP and PTI for the slot of chairman tehsil Takhatbhai. Total registered vote in Tehsil Katlang are 196,606 including 110,625 male and 85980 female voters. Katlang is included by 8 NCs and 24 VCs. For Katlang tehsil chairman\u2019s slot, nine candidates are contesting election. Emadullah Yousafzai from JUI-F, Fazl-e-Rehman from ANP, Mohammad Aziz from PPP, Zarshad Khan from PTI, Samar Khan from PML-N, Saed Kamal from QWP, Ali Abass Khan from JI and Layiq Nawaz and Sartaj Khan will contest election as independent candidates.
\nHowever, a top contest is expected between JUI-F, ANP and PTI for the slot of chairman. Total registered voters at Garhi Kapura are 166,104 including 92723 male and 73380 female voters. Garhi Kapura is included by 27 VCs. For Ghari Kapura tehsil chairman\u2019s slot, seven candidates are contesting election. Bakhatwar Khan from ANP, Shahfasial Khan from PTI, Mohammad Ayaz from JUI-F, Asad Jamal from JI, Akhtar Ali, Mohammad Arshid and Mohammad Naeem will contest election as independent candidates. However, a top contest is expected between ANP, JUI-F and PTI candidates.
\nTotal registered voters in tehsil Rustam are 158,785 including 8, 8347 male and 7, 0437 female voters. Rustam is included by 26 VCs. For Rustm tehsil chairman\u2019s slot six candidates are contesting election. Muzafar Shah from PTI, Ishaq Khan from ANP, Akhtar Nawaz Khan from PML-N, Ayub Khan from PPP, Sajad Saed from JI, Mubarik Ahmed from JUI-F. However top contest is expected between JUI-F, PPP, PTI and ANP candidates.
\nThe Election Commission has established 3,215 polling stations to hold the polling in which 225 poling station were declared most sensitive, 576 were declare sensitive and 250 were declared normal polling stations. Some 105 women candidates, 17 minority candidates, 35 worker candidates and 25 youth candidates have been elected unopposed on different village
