{"id":233977,"date":"2021-12-21T09:15:06","date_gmt":"2021-12-21T04:15:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/?p=233977"},"modified":"2021-12-21T09:15:06","modified_gmt":"2021-12-21T04:15:06","slug":"pakistan-revises-travel-protocols-for-passengers-arriving-from-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadpakistan.com.pk\/news\/pakistan-revises-travel-protocols-for-passengers-arriving-from-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan revises travel protocols for passengers arriving from UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> Islamabad<br \/>\nDue to hike in the number of Omicron variant cases in the United Kingdom (UK), Pakistan has revised the travel advisory for the flights arriving from the UK.<br \/>\nThe National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has issued a new travel policy for passengers travelling directly from the UK to Pakistan.<br \/>\nAccording to the revised policy, all passengers arriving from the UK via direct or indirect flights will undergo a rapid antigen test (RAT) upon arrival, in addition to the mandatory vaccination and negative PCR test pre-boarding protocols already in place (max 48 hours old), said NCOC Deputy Director Abdul Qadeer Awan.<br \/>\nThe NCOC has requested that Pakistan civil aviation authority (PCAA) adjust direct flights from the UK (if deemed necessary) to provide a sufficient time gap for airports to conduct 100% RAT.<br \/>\nThe centre has urged concerned authorities to take appropriate action and expeditiously disseminate the information.<br \/>\nSimilarly, one flight after another should have enough time to complete the rapid antigen test (RAT) of all the passengers of the previous flight.
