\nPakistan Agricultural Research Council has organized one day national stakeholder\u2019s consultation workshop on \u2018Mainstreaming Climate Smart Agriculture in Pakistan\u2019 under the APN\u2019s funded project \u2018Pathways to strengthening capabilities on climate smart agriculture in Pakistan\u2019.
\nStakeholders from various sectors including researchers, agriculture extensions, academia, policymaking institutes, NGO\u2019s and progressive farmers participated in the workshop.
\nChairman PARC, Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Ali highlighted the significance of agriculture for natural economy, impacts of climate change on agriculture and urged the need for adopting Climate Smart Agriculture practices to mitigate the impacts on agriculture.
\nFurther, he added that the capacity building in our Agriculture Service Delivery Organizations (ASDOS) is the need of the hour for the dissemination of CSA practices and technologies.
\nDr. Bashir Ahmad, PI of the project, highlighted the deliverables and success stories. Prominent researchers and extension officers from provinces (Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KPK) highlighted the CSA status in their respective provinces.
